it is the "grammar" of commands to the computer. If you say things wrong, the compiler cannot figure out what you mean.
It's the same as English syntax. If you don't know the right words, or the way to use them, you cannot communicate.

I think it is very important to know the parts of speech of a sentence .If we know syntax,it is easier to translate that.
