use either long algebraic division or synthetic division, whichever you learned, to show that
2x^3 + 7x^2 - 3x - 18 = (x+2)(2x^2 + 3x - 9)
= (x+2)(2x - 3)(x + 3)
2x^3 + 7x^2 - 3x - 18 = (x+2)(2x^2 + 3x - 9)
= (x+2)(2x - 3)(x + 3)
