so sqrt { x+7} = 1 right?

if so... then square both sides to get x+7 =1
x = -6
Answered by Reiny
I think Knights missed the "ln" in front

ln √(x+7) = 1
√(x+7) = e^1 = e
square both sides
x+7 = e^2

x = e^2 - 7
x = appr .389
