From your clues, you know that 5 is the numerator (top number).
Hint: 4/8 = 1/2 and 6/8 = 3/4
What do you think your fraction is?

The numerator in a fraction is the top number. 5*1=5 So, your top number has to be five. So, 5/x and find the possible values for x. It may help if you change (3/4) and (1/2) to decimals and use a calculator to experiment with different values of x that would make the fraction be between (1/2) and (3/4). I can think of three possible values that would work: (5/9), (5/8), (5/7)
