Scotty and his dad are repairing the railing along the side of the deck. They put up eight supports with 4 feet between each one. If the first support is at one corner of the deck and the eighth support is at the other corner, how long is the side?

Please explain the answer.

7*4 = 28
You need two posts for one four foot section to start, one more posts than sections.

you take 8 times 4 and it equals 32 so its 32 ft.
