It is the ONLY moon in the solar system that revolves in the opposite direction to its planet's rotation. This is called "retrograde" motion. Astronomers believce that it was captured into orbit from somewhere else, becasue of the motion and the fact that it resembles Pluto and other other Kuiper belt objects from farther out.
