Suppose that a sled is accelerating at a rate of 2 m/s2. If the net force is tripled and the mass is doubled, then what is the new acceleration of the sled?

a = F/m = 2 m/s^2.

a = 3F/2m = 1.5(F/m).
Replace F/m with 2:
a = 1.5 * 2 = 3.0 m/s^2.
