To find the product of two numbers in scientific notation, you need to multiply the two coefficients and add the exponents. In this case, we multiply 1.7 by 1.4, which equals 2.38. Then, we add the exponents: 9 + 2 = 11.

Therefore, the product of (1.7 x 10^9) x (1.4 x 10^2) in scientific notation is 2.38 x 10^11.

You are correct!
