5(2x-3)+8=9 how do you solve this?

1 answer

5(2x-3)+8=9
5(2x-3) = 1 ----- I subtracted 8 from both sides
10x - 15 = 1 ----- I expanded 5(2x-3)
10x = 16 -----I added 15 to both sides
x = 16/10 or 8/5 or 1.6
