A caterpillar and snail are 300 ft apart. They meet face to face in 5 hours. What were their speeds?

hard to say. All we know is that their combined speed is 60 ft/hr

They could both have traveled 30 ft/hr

or, the snail could have traveled 10 ft/hr and the caterpillar 50 ft/hr


or lots of other combinations.
