Two fraternities are in a tug of war. Theta Chi is pulling with a total force of 4,748 newtons to the east and Tau Kappa is pulling with a total force of 3,969 newtons to the west. What is the magnitude and direction of the resultant? Which team will win? Is it better to pull the rope at an angle or straight on?
