I was trying to find the molecular formula for CuSO4 . XH2O.

I ended up with the ratio of

1 mol CuSO4 : 3.85 mol H20

Would I have to round 3.85 to 4
or use a multiplier?

I think you would round to 4.0; however, I usually see it as CuSO4.5H2O
