A ghost town is a term used to describe a town, village, or settlement that has been abandoned or significantly depopulated. Typically, this happens due to economic, social, or environmental reasons that make it no longer sustainable or viable for people to live there.

If you couldn't find information about ghost towns in your textbook or glossary, here are a few steps you can take to get more information:

1. Use a search engine: Open a web browser and search for "what is a ghost town." This will provide you with various sources and websites that explain the concept in detail.

2. Online encyclopedia: Visit websites such as Wikipedia or Encyclopedia Britannica and search for "ghost town." These digital encyclopedias often provide reliable and comprehensive information on a wide range of topics.

3. Geography or history resources: If you have access to any geography or history textbooks, try checking the index or table of contents for any sections related to ghost towns. These resources might provide more information than your current textbook.

4. Library resources: Consider visiting a library and asking a librarian for assistance. They can guide you to books, articles, or other resources that specifically cover ghost towns.

Remember, if your textbook or glossary doesn't cover a particular topic, there are many other resources available to explore and learn from.
