Where did you get 110 from exactly?
Good question. I don' see no steenking 110.
However, if you want to solve the equation above, collect everything to one side:
x^2 + 11x + 10 = 0
(x+1)(x+10) = 0
so, if x = -1 or x = -10, the equation is satisfied.
check:
(-1)^2 =? -11(-1) - 10
1 =? 11 - 10
yes
(-10)^2 =? -11(-10) - 10
100 =? 110 - 10
yes.
