Hi,

I am trying to solve graphing quadratic equations. One of the problems is written as -x^2= -2x-1. So if I wanted to put this equation in the proper quadratic equation form, would it be -2x-1-x^2, or -x^2+-2x-1? I'm really not sure.

The proper form would be -x^2 +2x -1. You could also put it as x^2 -2x -1. Either way they will both factor the same. Just make sure its in standard form (ax^2 +bx +c)

Either -x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0 or
x^2 -2x -1 = 0 are in "proper quadratic form".
