I answered C but think it could also be A also

No colon after a verb, remember?
So then it would be a because B is not right
B is correct. A would be correct if that colon were removed.

Are you saying you submitted your answer and were told that A is correct???
No I was making a study guide type deal, I did not think that the semi colons were needed (Carafate 1 g 4 times daily, 40 minutes after each meal; Reglan 5 mg at bedtime; aspirin p.r.n.)I thought the commas were, to me this makes no sense going from a comma to semi colons?
I know. It's not always an easy concept, and the website I usually refer to for excellent explanations of this is not functioning right now ... it's in Connecticut and is no doubt out of commission because of the superstorm. =(

There should not be any punctuation between the verb and its direct object(s), in this case the list/series of medications. When you have a series, though, in which each element has commas and/or other punctuation, then you use semicolons to separate them. This is why the semicolons in B are correctly used.
OK Thanks that helped.:) I got what you are saying now, just wanted to check and make sure my study guide is right
