An antibiotic is reconstituted with 128ml of water to yield 250mg/5ml.
A) If the child weighs 66 pounds what will the dose be at 5mg/kg/dose?
B) If the medication is given qid x 10 days, will the 150ml bottle be enough?

as the child is 66lb = 29.3kg

a) 5mg ----> 1 kg
?mg ----> 29.3kg

therefore 29.3 x 5 = 146.5mg dose

b) we have 250mg/5ml
then 150ml bottle will give 7500mg/150ml

each day is 146.5mg, 10days will be 1465mg. so i think we have enough.
