Here is what is possible.
n can be 1,2,3,4, etc in whole number increments. Thus 2s means 2 for n
l can be 0,1,2,3 etc and we name those s,p,d,f, etc.
So the 2s electron has n = 1 and "ell" = 0.
6d means n = 6
d means ell = 2
