The unit m/s is the _____.

2 answers

According to what I know, m/s is the unit for linear speed or the velocity.
For periodic waves, frequency has an inverse relationship to the concept of wavelength. Frequency is inversely proportional to wavelength λ (lambda). The frequency f is equal to the phase velocity v of the wave divided by the wavelength λ of the wave.
f= v/w

In electromagnetic waves is then v = c, where c is the speed of light (3.00x10e8 m/s).
f=c/w

*In the case of electromagnetic radiation, such as light, the phase speed is the speed of light, about 3×10e8 m/s.
