You have to distribute the "x" on the outside to (x-5) to get (x^2-5x) then FOIL. FOIL stands for first, outside, inside, last. This is the pattern of multiplication you have to use to solve this type of problem. It hard to show how to foil online, just look it up, okay? I don't won't to confuse you with a bad explanation.
