3days * 16tons/day=48 Tons by Ben Cole
Bal. = 100 - 48 = 52 Tons.
X = The # of days they worked together.
10x + 16x = 52 tons.
26x = 52.
X = 2 Days.
48 + 16*2=80 Tons shoveled by Ben Cole
in 5 days(3+2).
100 - 80 = 20 Tons shoveled by Char in
2 days.
