Samuel solved the equation h β 234 = 1,192 and found the solution to be h = 958. Is he correct? He is right I think because when you subtract 234 from 1192 it equals 958 right?

nope.
You want a number big enough that when you subtract 234, you end up with 1192.
That would be 1192+234 = 1426
If you plug in 1426 for h in the equation, you see that
1426 - 234 = 1192
958 is the solution to h+234=1192

He is incorrect. He subtracted 234 from 1,192. He is supposed to add 234 into 1,192 = 1,426.
