umm, can some one please tell me how to write down the problems on this website? i think this (*) is multiplying but i'm not completely sure. and what is division? i have some graphing problems. by the way, i'm in 9th grade.

You are right, multiplication is often indicated by (*), while division is indicated by (/) as 35/7 = 5.

In addition, (^) indicates a power as 3^2 = 9.
