Response to what? I like to jot notes down on my thoughts first, then organize the notes, and think on them. From that, I start writing.
Of course, the first draft never stays intact, it gets crucified, and bleeds freely. But in the end, the response is what I want to write. Good? Well, that is in the eye of the beholder. Your response should be clear, to the point, and flow like a quiet mountain stream...unless you want it to flow furiously, with the fullness, energy, and sound of a cascading waterfall.
Have fun. We will be happy to critique your work.
