Gina brought a magazine subcription. The magazine company charged $15.75 for the subcription and $2.15 for each issue. If Gina paid $45.85, how many issues did she receive?

$45.85 - 15/ 75?????
I'd been having a bit trouble with this question so this is what I think.

totalcost=n*2.15+15.75

n*2.15=45.85-15.75=30.10

n=30.10/2.15= you do it.

To find out how many issues Gina received, we can start by subtracting the initial subscription cost from the total amount she paid.

First, subtract the subscription cost of $15.75 from the total payment of $45.85:
$45.85 - $15.75 = $30.10

Now, we know that each issue costs $2.15. To find out how many issues Gina received, we can divide the remaining amount ($30.10) by the cost per issue ($2.15).

Divide $30.10 by $2.15:
$30.10 / $2.15 = 14

So, Gina received 14 issues of the magazine.
