my friend also need idea to write about independent story, he not want to do one on human, what he write about animals?

If he wants to personify animals, I'm reminded of something I saw in my yard the other day. A hawk was after a squirrel. It almost got it -- and I wondered whether to cheer for the squirrel or for the hawk that needs to eat.
