Suppose a runner completes a 10K (10.0 km) road race in 44 minutes and 43 second. What is the runners average speed in miles per hour?

I would convert 44 min to seconds and add 43 sec to that, then divide by (60 x 60) to convert to hours.
speed = 10km/0.745 hr = 13.42 km/hr.
1 km = 0.621 miles.
