my son got 288

This goes to show you how the new math is confusing everyone. As a math major from 40 years ago. What is wrong with the old way of doing it when you got the correct answer. Obviously the new way is not working for the younger generation when they can't get the correct answer and the correct answer is what counts in mathematics.
