Question

How many moles of ammonium ions are in 8.794g of ammonium carbonate?

I've tried this multiple times but some reason, I can't quite get the answer.

If someone can show me step-by-step how to go about this problem, I'd really appreciate it.

How many mols (NH4)2CO3 do you have? That's grams/molar mass.

# NH4^+ = 2x that.
