construct your right-angled triangle by drawing a perpendicular to the x-axis from (1,-4)
then r^2 = x^2 + y^2 = 1 + 16
r = √17

sinA = -4/√17
cscA = -√17/4
cosA = 1/√17
secA = √17
tanA = -4/1 = -4
cotA = -1/4
then r^2 = x^2 + y^2 = 1 + 16
r = √17
