Each CH2 going from left to right has a single bond as well.
I think this is an alkane but I am not sure. I only think this because it only has single bonds of hydrogen and carbon.
Is this correct?

Yes. Hydrocarbons (only H and C) with all single bonds are alkanes. A double bond makes them alkenes and a triple bond makes them (hydrocarbons) alkynes.
