A backpacker carries 3.0L of white gas as fuel for her stove. How many pounds does the fuel add to her load? Assume the density of white gas to be .79 g/cm^3

mass = volume x density
mass = 0.79g/cc x 3000 cc = g fuel.
Convert that to pounds. The easy way to do that is to use google. You can do it manually too; 453.59 grams in a pound.
