we already know the wire is 11.2m long, so there's no need to calculate its measure.

what does the measure of the ground mean?

If the pole is 5.3m tall and the wire is attached 9.87m from the base and also at the top, it is in fact

√(9.87^2 + 5.3^2) = 11.2 meters long.

Looks like everything is given.
