what is the symbol for the element that has 78 protons
76 electrons
117 neutrons and a +2 net charge? i thought it was ^195Os^+2 but that is wrong. Thanks for the help!

If it has 78 protons it MUST be Pt (look at the periodic table) so I would write
195Pt^2+.
Note: The atomic number is the number of protons; not the number of electrons.
