There is a vertical asymptote at x = -2, and y ranges from -∞ to +∞ near it
There is a horizontal asymptote at y=1, yet y cannot be equal to 1, since that would mean that (x+2) = (x-2), or 2 = -2.
So, the range is all real numbers except y=1.
