To find out if you are right or not, put your answer (x =-2, y=-1) back in each equation
equation 1
3(-2) + 2(-1) = ??? -8
-6 - 2 = -8 sure enough
equation 2
2(-2) - 3(-1) = ??? -1
-4 + 3 = -1 sure enough so you did it right
equation 1
3(-2) + 2(-1) = ??? -8
-6 - 2 = -8 sure enough
equation 2
2(-2) - 3(-1) = ??? -1
-4 + 3 = -1 sure enough so you did it right

Now the how :
equation 1
when x = 0, y = -8/2 so y intercept at (0,-4)
when y = 0, x = -8/3 so x intercept at (-8/3,0)
draw that line
equation 2
when x = 0, y = 1/3 so (0,1/3)
when y = 0, x = -1/2 so (-1/2, 0)
graph
see if they hit each other at (-2,-1)
equation 1
when x = 0, y = -8/2 so y intercept at (0,-4)
when y = 0, x = -8/3 so x intercept at (-8/3,0)
draw that line
equation 2
when x = 0, y = 1/3 so (0,1/3)
when y = 0, x = -1/2 so (-1/2, 0)
