A small aircraft takes off and accelerates for 1 min at the rate of 1.5m/s^2. it then maintains a constant flying speed for 20mins after which it lowers its flaps, descends and reduces its speed uniformly, coming to rest in 45secs. Using a separate sheet of paper, if necessary, and the relevant equations:
find the total distance traveled:
i've come up with two answers which one is right?
0.5*1.5*3600+90*1200+0.5*45*45
or
0.5*1.5*3600+90*1200+0.5*90*45

draw a simple speed-time graph for the journey on a separate sheet of paper
if anyone can help with this would be great...
thanks
