your common factor is (x-1)^-1/2
so you would get
(x-1)^-1/2((x-1) - 1)
= -(x-1)^-1/2
or 1/(x-1)^-1/2
or 1/√(x-1)
so you would get
(x-1)^-1/2((x-1) - 1)
= -(x-1)^-1/2
or 1/(x-1)^-1/2
or 1/√(x-1)
