when 21g of magnesium carbonate was heated , magnesium oxide produced . carbon dioxide also released. what is the volume of carbon dioxide released ?

MgCO3 + heat ==> MgO + CO2
mols MgCO3 = grams/molar mass.

Convert mols MgCO3 to mols CO2 (use the coefficients in the equation).
Then mols x 22.4 L/mol = L CO2.
