An apple falls from a 28 foot tree. The height of the apple, in feet, after t seconds of falling, can be found using the polynomial 16t 2 + 28. Find the apple's height after 0.5 second.

h(t) = 28 - 16t^2
h(.5) = 28 - 4 = 24
