Question
16 people attend party.A party table with,8 chairs on both sides.4 want to sit on one side & 2 want to sit otherside.Find the no of ways this can be arranged.
Answers
ok, the party of 4 can sit on either the left side or the right side -- 2 possibilities. Once it chooses a side, there are 8*7*6*5=1680 ways they could be seated on that side of the table. There are 8*7=56 ways for the party of two to sit on the other side. With these two parties seated, there are 10 people left and 10 chairs, or 10! ways to seat the remaining 10. So, the total number of ways to seat the party, given the constraints is 2*1680*56*10!
