I also have to compare the similarities and differences between monasticism and feudalism, and i don't know how that's possible because in my book these are the definitions of the two: Feudalism was a system in which weak noblemen gave up their lands and much of their freedom to more powerful lords in return for protection. Monasticism refers to a way of life in which individuals gathered together to spend their says in prayer and self denial.
