i'm typing down a speech that i need to prepare for english, how much should i write for a 5 min speech

Are you going to write down the speech word-for-word?

I would recommend just having an outline to work from. Once that is done, practice giving the speech once or twice to see how long it would take.

I agree. Actually, I recommend flash cards with main points on each card, just as an outline.
