The problem is pretty generic:

estimate the volume of a loaf of (unsliced) bread. You can plan to slice the bread, but otherwise your method must be nondestructive. In fact, a reader should be able to serve the bread to guests after applying your estimation method.

estimate? length x width x height is a pretty good estimate.
