can anybody tell me an equation that can be used to find the number of electrons flowing through an LED every second?
and also refer or give me any information that could explain another mechanism (apart from the fact that they denote energy to a single photon of light) by which the electron may lose energy as it moves through the LED??

Current (in amperes) divided by the electron charge e = 1.602*10^-19 coulombs is the rate at which electrons move through. If each electron produces a photon of light, the light output (divided by the energy of a photon) could also be used .
