tell me if I am correct. In order to find the sum of the angles in a 50-gon, you have to find the number of triangle in a petagon which is 3 therefore 50-gon would have 30 triangles. then i would take 30 X 180 which would give me 5,400 degree

I believe to find the sum of the exterior angles of a n-sided polygon is (n-2)*180 where n is the number of sides. So for a 50-sided polygon it should be 8640 degrees. For the interior angles it is (n-2)*180/n where again n is the number of sides.

A small correction:
The sum of the interior angles of an n-gon is (n-2)*180.
The interior angles and the exterior angles always add up to 360.
