What is the difference between storage media and storage devices?

3 answers

I would take storage media to mean any of the following:

a disk (CD or DVD or ??)
a flash/thumb drive
a zip disk (old fashioned!)
floppy disks (also very old fashioned!)
etc.

I would take storage devices to mean any of the following:
external or internal hard drive
external back-up drive
external company (such as www.carbonite.com)
Thanks.
