Calculate the distance traveled by the concrete brick after 0.5 s if it moves with an initial speed of 5 ft/s up the incline whose angle of inclination with the horizontal is 300. Given, coefficient of friction of the incline is 0.144 and g = 32 ft/s2

The equation of motion is (in vector form)
vector( ma) = vector (m•g) + vector F(fr)+ vector N
Projections on the axes
x: m•a = m•g•sinα - F(fr)
y: 0 = N - m•g•cosα
F(fr) =k•N = k• m•g•cosα
a = g•( sinα - k•cosα)
s =Vo•t +at^2/2.
