How do you solve this problem?
2x squared = 169?

I do not know if you mean 2x<sup>2</sup>, or (2x)<sup>2</sup>

I supect the latter.

(2x)^2=169

take the square root of each side.
Then divide by 2.

I meant 2x^2

Well the square root of 169 is 13 and if you divide 13 by 2 you get 6.5
