Umm I`m not quite sure what zeal means

like if someone were to say

I had no zeal to live

what would that mean? that dosen`t make much sense to me

zeal--strong fervor to do something. Ardor for something. Strong feeling about something. No zeal to live means that person didn't have much incentive to continue living. I have a zeal for making a million dollars but I have no zeal for working that hard.
